So, you’d like to show off your fantastic Google Maps Business View tour on Facebook huh? Well luckily for us, the nice people at Woobox have made this possible with the use of a “Static iframe tab”. If that sounds like gobbledygook, don’t worry because we’ve laid out step by step instructions below.  So long as you can drive a mouse you should be fine! So lets dive in:

1 – Click on this Facebook link you’ll need to be logged into a facebook account that can manage your businesses facebook page, if so you should be greeted with the “Add a Custom Page Tab” page, click on the “Install Page Tab” box.

2 – A new page opens, this is where select which business page you want to install the tab on, so click on the box marked “Facebook Pages” and select the relevant business and then click Add Page Tab.

3 – In the next screen click on “Configure Page Tab”

4 – A new tab will open taking you to Woobox (you may need to sign in with your facebook id at this point) otherwise you will be presented with this screen. This is where you’ll be pasting the <iframe> code. So now we need to get the code from you Google Maps Business View.

5 – Open a new tab and navigate to the place you would like your tour to start, then click on the little cog style symbol (next to the “?” symbol) and then “Share or embed image”. This opens the share box.

6 – Click on “Embed image”

7 – Select the size you want the embedded image to be, but here at Your Business Found we feel that if you’ve got it, flaunt it so go “Large” which is 800 x 600 px click into the box that contains the iframe text and copy it. It is very important that you get the whole iframe text, it will look a like this <iframe src=”https://www.google.com/maps/embed*****lots of clever technical computer talk******></iframe> you might need to drag the mouse all the way to the right to make sure averything is selected, then copy.


8 – Now you’ll need to go back to the woobox tab that you saw in step 4. Paste the iframe code into the box where it says “Enter the HTML for your page:” if right click paste doesn’t work, you might have to click into the text box and hold “Shift” on your keyboard while you press “Insert” that should paste the code like shown below:

9 – Click “Save Settings”

10 – Now click the “Tab Settings” and choose a more friendly name for your facebook tour tab, something like “Virtual Tour”, you can also change the “Tab Image” image to something more appealing,why not use one of the wide angle interior shots that Your Business Found created for you during the photoshoot?

11 – Now go back to your Facebook business page and click on the new tab that you created in woobox (hint: it may be hiding under the “More” dropdown menu) Hey presto your new facebook tab should now be resplendent with your Google Maps Business View tour!
